WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm 22 and I'm Swedish*!

Life is good.

* One of my birthday presents from my grandmother was a pretty much complete geneology of her sides of the family (Uffleman and Ross). Turns out, the Ufflemans came from a Swedish officer who fought against German Catholics in the 30 Years War. The other presents were dried apricots and metal polishing cream. I love my grandmother.

Happy Birthday!

That geneology sounds like an incredibly thoughtful present. You're so lucky to have a grandmother like that.

Thanks!

I'll try to enjoy 22 as much as I did 21, but I imagine being whatever age you are (29, right? *ducks*) also has its upsides. :)

They are indeed awesome presents. Not sure what to do with the metal polishing cream, but still. Now I have some! :)

And thanks for the birthday wishes! :)

It is and I am. I actually have been asking about it for a while now. And I am glad to know that not only are we Swedish, but we fought The Man back in the 17th century and one of us served in the Revolutionary War (I'm actually eligible to join The Daughters of the Revolution 'cause I have this stuff to prove it).

She's working on my grandfather's side of the family, but it's much harder.

I think she's just glad that between me and my sister (her only grandkids) at least one of us cares.

Andrew thinks your comment is the best thing since sliced bread. I'm inclined to agree.
