Question for those with medical knowledge

I'm also asking this in [livejournal.com profile] ask_a_nurse, but I thought maybe someone on the f-list might know.

I'm now having severe stabbing ear pains, and I keep coughing up phlegm that is very, very green. My throat hurts and I've essentially lost my voice. It hurts to cough, blow my nose, swallow, yawn.

So far I've tried Mucinex, Sudafed, and cough drops with limited success.

I don't think I'm running a fever, though I feel hot, tired, dizzy, and woozy.

Is it time to break down and go to a doctor, or will these symptoms subside? Are there any symptoms I should be on the look out for that are warning signs that I definitely need to see a doctor?

You probably have a severe sinus infection. Go to a doctor now.

Seconded. That sounds like a pretty heavy duty sinus infection.

Infection. Only gonna get worse. The MegBody needs antibiotics. :(

From my understanding, green phlegm (as opposed to cloudy yellowish phlegm) is a sign of an infection and thus time to see the doctor. Feel better soon!!
