Your Score: Maybe

Result: 39. Your score isn't an achievement, it just is.

Psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at Cambridge's Autism Research Centre have created the Autism-Spectrum Quotient, or AQ, as a measure of the extent of autistic traits in adults. In the first major trial using the test, the average score in the control group was 16.4. Eighty percent of those diagnosed with autism or a related disorder scored 32 or higher. The test is not a means for making a diagnosis, however, and many who score above 32 and even meet the diagnostic criteria for mild autism or Asperger's report no difficulty functioning in their everyday lives.

You scored 32 or above. Do with that what you will.

Frankly, this test was kind of silly. Because a lot of those questions, such as: "do you enjoy social chit chat" aren't just applicable to people with Asperger's - but to people who just get bored listening to someone else talk about absolutely nothing important. Or introverts.

And there was one question "would you prefer a museum over a theatre?" - yeah, but mostly because I don't really care for the theatre very much and I was a history student. Plus, in museums, if someone is talking you can get up and leave without wasting a ticket and come back when the rude person is gone.
