Goodbye, red journal of Embodiment. You served me well for exactly 11 months of my life.

A tribute then, to lined!red!journal.

homage to a favorite food the first page inside
good ol' red!journal a new beginning

The new journal is black and unlined, a definite change for me. I'm hoping it'll mean I'll get more artistically creative instead of falling into my "dear diary today I did blahedy blah blah" routine that I do when I feel like I'm in a rut. Also, maybe not devoting all my creative energies to NaNoWriMo might help.

Unlined journals are my favorites. I like to doodle.

I'm hoping the unlined will get me doodling as well. I kind of want a change from just writing straight up text all the time. You know, leave my comfort zone and all that.

You should sign up for embodiment when it comes around in a month for the 2007 round.

I have not heard about it. What is it?

[livejournal.com profile] embodiment is a project in which a bunch of people basically try to write in a journal everyday for a year. You can write as little as one word. But something. Everyday.

I tried it because I needed some discipline and order in my life and I liked journaling. It helped my writing in a fiction sense because when you have something you dedicate yourself to, then you learn to make structures for yourself.

Signups are coming up for next year and I'm definitely in!

That sounds interesting. I think I will do it. Thanks.
