Still alive
Sunday, 27 January 2008 21:01Back from Connecticut, feeling ick but I had a great time.
I saw my first hockey game ever. Yay for sports!violence. I like hockey. It's simple. Guys on ice with sticks slamming each other into walls.
I got some bad news about my internship and the future thereof on Friday. There's a part of me that's worried and a part of me that's just about ready to throw in the towel.
Still, I got to be around a house full of fuzzies and my absolute favorite people. You can't beat that for a weekend.
Sometimes I wish I knew how life was going to turn out so I didn't have to worry about it so much. Like, for instance, if I'd known that I'd have this internship in September, I wouldn't have spent so much time fretting and enjoyed my year of unemployment more.
I feel like I'm sailing in a fog, and I'm not sure how far I am from shore. Maybe I'm ten thousand miles out and maybe I'm just about to run aground. Hell, I can't even tell the shore from the sky anymore.
But don't feel bad for me, and don't think I won't be all right. I've sailed my way through rougher places than this.

Hope you're ok. I know that having this on your resume will help loads in finding the next job. I mean, you know, NYC's on it now. Maybe the next place will be closer to the house and have less asinine work, right?
Foo Foo and I will pray to the sock drawer for you.
