affinity8 go? The LJ facts say her journal was suspended, but I can't imagine that she'd do anything that would merit suspension. I mean, the last thing I read from her was a Sunday round up.
Well, if you're out there give us a sign. And I hope the government hasn't kidnapped you or anything. Or aliens. Or magical elves. Or trolls. Because I know trolls have been a problem lately here in Florida. I blame construction.
I have new shoes, which I know everyone needed to know. But they're pink and black Kangaroos and they feel like somebody, somewhere said "I need to make a pair of shoes for Meg" and then hid them on a clearance rack, where they languished among the ugly shoes that people make for big-footed women until I liberated them (don't worry, I liberated them with money).
Shoe designers seem to have a serious *hate*-on for women who have feet larger than a 7M. God forbid you have a *wide* foot. Or a size 10 foot. Or a size 10 wide foot. You'll be wearing Birkenstocks and grandma shoes the rest of your life if you do, unless you go to the shoe store everyday and watch the size 10 aisle like a hawk, scooping up any remotely attractive shoe that should come along. Otherwise, the other bigfootresses will come in herds and devour them.
So you can see where me finding these 'roos was such a piece of luck. They have zippers on the side. *loves on shoes*.
*ahem*. Okay. I really *do* have two X-chromosomes.

Date: 10 Apr 2006 16:58 (UTC)that said, i've had some luck checking out nordstrom's and nordstrom rack for larger than average shoes. sadly, their selections of 10+ sizes are limited, and the only shoes i liked during their mega sale were size 12 (but fit cuz the width was in the 12 that wasnt in the 10) but still. worth looking for.
also, this might sound stupid and i dont know what your style is, but some of those crossdresser websites have awesome shoes. cuz, you know, transvestites have an awesome sense of fashion. and they also have big feet. :)
oh, and shoebuy.com and heelandsoleshoes.com
...i have a bit of a shoe problem.
