Sunday, 30 December 2007 19:49The Christmas tree is finally down! It's so nice to have our apartment back the way it should be. I'm glad Christmas is over and that's it's another 360 or so days until I have to do it again.
I have a buttload of resolutions for this year, because 2007 was just so weird and unsteady. I went from being unemployed and single to being employed, engaged, and busy as hell. I discovered that I didn't want to work in the publishing industry, not to mention that one thing that makes me happiest in life is the thing likeliest to make me dirt poor.
Still, it'll be nice to know that this year, I can finally start building on something and know that I'll be here for a while. It's nice to know where I stand and that I won't be moving out any time soon.
I hope you all have a great new year. It's strange, but I feel like my entire friends list (for better or worse) has come so far from where they were this time last year.
I can't wait to see what y'all do this year, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
ETA: At the Boy's request, I should clarify: I consider "single" to be that you're not engaged/married. I was dating him and living with him, but still, there wasn't any kind of formal arrangement. Now there is.

Date: 31 Dec 2007 01:04 (UTC)*hugs*. I've been keeping up on the latest that you've posted both in LJ and on the Swivet, but I'm bad about knowing what to say. I really was thinking of you when I said that I hope 2008 is a great year, because you deserve an awesome 2008 for all the crap that happened in 2007. Seriously.
If you've got a job opening, fire it my way. I just updated my resume to reflect all the new stuff I've been doing during my internship that would sound nifty to prospective employers.
As for the rewrite, I'm about halfway through. You were 100% right about the story, it needed some serious shaping (as in Arnold needed to come around and give it the "pump you up" treatment) - so I'm doing that. My goal is to have something that won't burn people's corneas by March/April of 2008.

Date: 31 Dec 2007 12:09 (UTC)Frankly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if your relationship with your Boy and Girl lasts much longer and is much more satisfying than most people's marriages.
Here's to hoping that all the goodness stretches on into 2008 and that things get even better!
