The season is starting

Even though it's actually still November, we've got our Christmas tree up. I'm going to have to stop myself from devouring the candy canes on it, because I love those so much. This is always a hard season for me, food wise, because there always food around, a lot of it very sugary, and lots of excuses to just let go and eat like a crazy person.
But, I shall prevail. Maybe I should move the candy canes to the other side of the tree, though.
I guess it's official, the Giftmas season has begun. While I do appreciate some of the trappings, there are some things about Christmas that I'd just as soon leave behind. Most of it involving how insane people are about gift purchases and the way Christmas devours all the other holidays around it.
Although, some Christmas music is fun. But I have this weird thing that if I hear Christmas music before or after the X-Mas season, it's like nails on a chalkboard - but in between December 1st and December 25th, it's just fine. Weird, huh?
In a couple of weeks I'm going to visit the folks in Florida, which I'm looking forward to. I haven't seen my mom or grandmother or sister since about July, and I miss my fuzzy baby. I did get my fuzzy fix in Connecticut with the many critters there, but still. I miss The Pudmeister.
