- T-Day among strangers was semi-okay. Lucked out. There *was* in fact mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. And after gorging self (actually, not that badly. Didn't make anyone from ancient Rome go "dear Jupiter!"), took nap on futon. Thus, all goals for t-day (eat, pass out) were fulfilled.
- The people-who-I-didn't-know were nice. I don't know their names. Or remember much about them.
- Mostly just slid into the background, and that was okay. It was all about TEH_PIE anyway.
- Real fun began with cabernet sauvignon and a few rounds of catchphrase when strange-not-my-people left. Drank a glass and a half - which is DOUBLE unusual. But the wine didn't taste like fingernail polish and everyone was having something and what *the* hell, it's thanksgiving.
- Pumpkin Pie: Round 2
- History channel is v. interesting. Remaining people (who are mine) are playing spades. Spades bores me. Stepdad is intoxicated. So is mom. Sister. Sister's boyfriend. Yep. I'm the sober one *again*.
- What the hell, it's thanksgiving.
- Grandfather will be in town for a bit tomorrow, yay for that.
- Worked a tiny bit on novel. One paragraph's worth.
- Dog has been unusually docile given the circumstances. Maybe somebody slipped him some triptophan? I love my mutt. He's the only one not ignoring me right now :)
