A non-fun day off

All right, so guess what?

They told me not to come into work today *either* and I got sent home early yesterday. And depending on what my manager tells me about tomorrow, I might just be out almost a week's worth of work. And since I work HOURLY that's a big pain in the ass not to mention a problem.

We're moving our office, and we've KNOWN we were gonna move since about July. We've known WHERE we were going to move to for a couple of months. And yet somehow, we manage to *not* have phones or internet turned on *yet* in our office, thus making my job impossible to do.

So I went in Tuesday thinking that I could at least do unpacking/cleaning/setting up type stuff. Nope. That lasted all of *two hours* before the only ranking person there Mr. Mark sent me home. And he *had* to. Because he had all of this stuff going on and all the other people who's job this would've been were out for the Jewish New Year ('cause half my office is Jewish).

But they didn't think to have this taken care of BEFORE the holiday. You know, I'm not Jewish, but if my knowledge of general STUFF serves me, Jewish New Year doesn't exactly SNEAK UP on you, ya know? It's not like you turn around and you're like "Oh my god! It's the new year! Didn't see *that* coming!" It's a thing that you can plan for and *around*. Like Christmas, Labor Day, etc...

So I'm out a day of work and chances aren't looking sunny for Thursday either. *sighs*. NOT good.

But still, I feel the need for a glee post. So!

5 Good Things

1. Teacher picked me to give the confederate dollar bill to so that I could read what it said to the entire class. I realize it was probably just 'cause I was close at hand, but I always get that 3rd-grade-esque feeling of "I'm special!" when things like that happen. I ♥ teachers.

2. Cool enough to wear long pants! Fall is *finally* making it's way towards Florida and the heat is less Regime of Stalin type oppressive and more like Constitutional Monarchy oppressive.

3. New music!

4. Dogs. Dogs. Dogs. Dogs. Wet, happy, half-crazy, tail-wagging, treat-begging little love mutts.

5. Letter from grandmother. I need to write her back.

3 Things I Did Well Today

1. Worked on novel and have made big progress.

2. Cleaned kitchen

3. Did not skip class despite temptation because of weather and general blehness.

2 Things I Look Foward to Tomorrow

1. Working. Hopefully.

2. Doing well on Nazi Germany midterm exam.
