Awesome is coming up

I cannot wait until we're in Connecticut tomorrow! There's a new puppy at Andrew's parents place, which is so full of glee that I cannot describe it. There is the other puppy, Finn, who I love even though he ate my blanket that one time. And the cats (I love their cats, especially the big old ginger one, Connor). And the creepy fish.
And of course, best of all, a family that it feels good to spend time with. After the two days with my father and stepmom (who just couldn't pass up the chance to be big honkin' racists as well as generally overbearing and irritating) - I'm so glad to be going somewhere good. I love Andrew's family so much, especially his mom. The woman is just composed entirely of awesome. Srsly.
It's starting to get hot here, although it's still mild compared to Florida. Florida pretty much starts getting warm in *March* or thereabouts.
Here, they actually have spring. They have *months* in which the weather stays on an even keel, not just two weeks like they do everywhere else I've lived.
And hey, I survived last summer without air conditioning. I'm sure I can do it *this* summer, too.
