Glee for un!Monday
Tuesday, 30 May 2006 18:53It's not really Monday, but it feels like it. Thus, I declare it un!Monday.
5 Good Things About Today
1. An hour for lunch, complete with peach yogurt and basil-tomato sammitches
2. It's not actually Mondy, thus moving us one day closer to Friday.
3. Guys in warehouse were actually quite respectful when inquiring as to whether I was a lesbian and surprisingly cool with me being bisexual*.
4. Pants and scales agree that weight has been lost. If all goes well, I won't find it again.
5. I am *this* much closer to New York.
3 Things I Did Well
1. Wrote some on new novel**
2. Have eaten well
3. Got all my schoolwork done quickly
2 Things I Look Foward to Tomorrow
1. Anthropology class! Wheee! Who's your daddy?***
2. Eating well
*I tried to take the use of the phrases "such a fag", "that's so gay" and "up the butt" in the spirit they were intended. Because I realize that the guys in the warehouse were bored, hungover and trying to desperately to make time go quicker by staying stupid things.
** The one I'm secretly writing because I can't actually admit that *dude*, my other novel died.
*** A bad question to ask in many Native American cultures, because you'll actually get two or three answers. Take the Crow, for instance. Your father and your mother's brother are all your father. Even more confusing when your mom has been "stolen" a few times by other men who thought she was hot. But it's good for you and your mom, 'cause usually that means trading up to a bigger teepee. Leading to the time honored tradition of Crow women finding a nice guy and saying, "Psst, go get your cousins and come kidnap me and kids about noonish, okay?"
