Grr. Not even *ONE* theatre within a 40 mile radius of me is showing Brokeback Mountain. Not even *ONE*.

And I even searched St. Augustine. Hell, I'd be willing to drive as far as Ocala. But nooooooooooooo.

Thank you Florida for being so conservatively warped that I can't even get my romantic angsty gay cowboy fix! Damn you, damn you all!

Florida = teh_suck.

Is it too much to ask to want to see a beautiful love story between two inhumanly pretty cowboys? Is it? IS IT?!?!?!

*weepz*

Brokeback Mountain they won't even show, but they'll keep running *Doom* ad nauseum.

Hmm. A masterfully told love story by Ang Lee or the most embarassing conversion of a video game to a movie since Super Mario Brothers.

You suck, Florida. You *really* *really* suck.

Grrr. One of my best friends came up to visit over the holidays. Since he's a self described "big ol fag" of course the only two movies I wanted to see with him were Brokeback Mountain or The Producers. Neither one was playing in my town. Wah!

We ended up watching Secretary, which he had never seen.

Anyway, I feel your pain.

The Producers is playing here, *fortunately*.

And Secretary rocks. James Spader is hotness in that movie, no?

Sometimes, I just really wish people would get over themselves. I mean, if they don't like gay people - fine. Just don't go see the movie. Free country. But it shouldn't prevent those of us who want to from getting access to it.

I'm counting down the days 'til it comes out on video.

..you mean Brokeback won't play in your town *ever*????

I guess I thought it was coming to you last...or something. That is wronger than wrong. That's censorship. Now I'm totally mad as well.

Unless the one sort of Indy-College-Weird-Movie-Playing Movie Theatre is brave enough to pick it up, pretty much no.

It does suck, a lot.

I'm trying not to be TOO pissed, 'cause I figure I can get it on video and not have to worry about going to a theatre with lots of whiny babies and the occasional idiot who'd probably go to the movie and scream "FAG!!!" at random invervals. Because people here *would* do that, I think.

I also find it really really intriguing that the Christian Conservatives are choosing to gripe and bitch about Brokeback and Harry Potter when, really, the movies doing the most damage to what they call "morals" are the movies they don't bat an eye about.

I mean, they say that homosexuals hurt the value of marriage, but how many innocent looking rom-coms condone things like, having affairs and cheating and having sex whenever you want.

Brokeback they raise hell about. Fun With Dick and Jane, a comedy about robbing people and getting away with it to maintain your middle class lifestyle, doesn't ruffle a feather.

Hmm...true love or criminal behavior for laughs?

Yep. Gays are ruining this country's moral fiber *winks*.

Aww! Poor you. And I thought Florida was teh_suck. Tennessee apparently is teh_suck_to_end_all_suck.

And here I was whinging about not having Brokeback Mountain. At least I get to see The Producers.

Did I mention that this SUCKS a big piece of bigoted ass? 'cause it does.
